Project Update – May 2025

Welcome to the May edition of the Sizewell C project update.

Pre construction works are progressing well throughout all our sites. The roads, roundabouts and park rides will start construction this summer.  The main site and temporary construction area are also preparing for construction along with the temporary sea defence works along the beach.

It is worth noting that we are installing average speed cameras along the B1122 and B1125 to further enhance road safety in the new 30mph speed limit. We are also upgrading the temporary Sizewell C A-frame signs across the county along the A14, A12 and local roads to be permanent signs mounted on posts. Further speed restrictions along the A12 are being implemented, including south of Yoxford. This is to ensure road safety as HGVs and construction vehicles manoeuvre on the sites as construction works begin.  Further speed restrictions will be implemented in due course on the A12 at Darsham and the Friday Street turning.
