Lovers Lane Re-Alignment & Road Network Change

From Monday 6th October, you will notice changes to the junction at Lovers Lane and Abbey Road (B1122).

We will be opening the realigned Lovers Lane–Abbey Road junction.

However, to facilitate the installation of a new level crossing on Abbey Road, a temporary road will be in place. This road will connect Lovers Lane to Abbey Road adjacent to Abbey Lane, allowing continued access while works are carried out on the affected section of Abbey Road.

There will be traffic marshals in place during rush hour traffic whilst this new layout is embedded. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during these essential infrastructure improvements.
