Accessibility

This accessibility statement applies to www.szcworkstracker.co.uk.

This website is run by Sizewell C. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts
  • zoom in up to 300% without the text spilling off the screen
  • navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader (including the most recent versions of JAWS, NVDA and VoiceOver)

We’ve also made the website text as simple as possible to understand.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • Not all the elements have text or alt attributes
  • The HTML form control has no accessible name
  • This can make them unreadable by screen readers
  • Some elements have not had colours set, which may result in black text on a black background if a user has their browser set to show pages in black and white.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Sizewell C is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • There are some ‘a’ elements which do not have either text or an image with alt text. This issue is on three pages and fails WCAG 2.1 A F89 Section 508 (2017) A F89.
  • An HTML form control has no accessible name. This issue is on the Track A Project page and fails WCAG 2.1 A F68 Section 508 (2017) A F68.
  • An ‘aria-labelled by’ element isn’t pointing to an ID of the same element in the same document on the contact page. This fails HTML5 WCAG 2.1 A 1.3.1 Section 508 (2017) A 1.3.1 ARIA 1.1
  • Only some colours on the body or ‘a’ elements have been set on the home page and the contact page, where all of them are required. This fails WCAG 2.1 AA F24 Section 508 (2017) AA F24.

We plan to have fixed these issues by 1 May 2022.
