Northern Park and Ride

The A12 Main Road, Darsham will be closed temporarily at night time to undertake survey works to support the delivery of the Northern Park and Ride roundabout.

Sizewell C is currently investigating all options, working with Suffolk County Council and Network Rail, to reduce the extent of the closure as much as reasonably possible whilst allowing for safe working conditions. There will be a diversion in place and access to property will be maintained during the temporary closure. The details of the full extent of the temporary road closure are as follows:

Time:                20:00 to 05:00

Where:             The A12 will be closed at the junction with Westleton Road and end at the junction with the A144.

Date:                 Monday to Friday from 7 July to 18 July 2025

Diversion:        A12, A1117, A146, A143, A140, A14 and vice versa

A diversion is in place which will uses the A12, A1117, A146, A143, A140, A14 and vice versa.

Please be advised that access to Darsham Railway Station will be maintained until arrival of the last train via the south of the A12.

Sizewell C have planned these works to avoid disruption as much as possible, but we are aware that there may be some disruption and inconvenience for you. We are sorry that this may affect your journey times and will be working hard to ensure the work happens as swiftly and efficiently as possible.
