Wild Aldhurst was designed to deliver habitats of significant conservation value, in part to compensate for loss of similar habitat from the Sizewell Marshes SSSI resulting from construction of Sizewell C. The scheme was implemented in 2014/2015 and has been establishing since.
Ecologists will undertake a habitat survey of the site. The surveys will involve the surveyors identifying and mapping habitats. Evidence of protected and/or notable species will be recorded and other features of interest will be noted. Photographs will be taken of each different habitat and any other ecological features of interest.
This work will also include a preliminary bat roost assessment.
