Middleton cum Fordley, Theberton and Eastbridge
Fordley Road and Hawthorn Road will be closed from 10 August 2026 to late 2028 to enable the construction of the Sizewell Link Road.
The diversion route for Fordley Road and Littlemoor Road will be Town Farm Lane, A12 and B1122. The diversion route for Hawthorn Road will be Harrow Lane, Abbey Lane and B1122 Leiston Road. These diversion routes may change, and this will be communicated with updated signage and on the works tracker.
Access to property will be maintained during the closure.
SZC have planned these works to avoid disruption as much as possible, but we are aware that there may be some disruption and inconvenience for you. We are sorry that this may affect your journey times and will be working hard to ensure the work happens as swiftly and efficiently as possible.
