Leiston-cum-Sizewell
The following road closures are planned to facilitate collaborative working with some utility companies:
Abbey Road between Rowley Mews and Eastbridge Road
Night time works only. Night time closures will run during the hours of 19:00 – 05:00. Residents living within the road closure will still have access to the highway. It will be necessary to operate two-way traffic management all other times.
Diversionary routes will be in place for these periods.
Sizewell C have worked with the following utility companies to reduce any disruption to the local area whilst they undertake upgrades and diversions to their networks to improve resilience in our area:
- Essex and Suffolk Water
- UK Power Networks
- Openreach
Understandably, there will be some disturbance with planned works as the utility companies will need to excavate, backfill and reinstate both the carriageway and footway.
Essex and Suffolk Water, UK Power Networks and Openreach will be contacting any customers directly if planned works would affect their services.
