Freight Management - Rail

We will be carrying out vegetation management alongside the railway track along the Sizewell Branch Line ahead of the track renewal and level crossing upgrades later this year.

These works will begin on Monday 20 January 2025 and will continue along the branch line until the end of February, working Monday – Friday. Our workers will be using a variety of tools to cut back and remove vegetation. In addition, you may see Road & Rail Vehicles using on the branch line.

All necessary work will be carried out under supervision of an Ecological Clerk of Works, including surveys for nesting birds, bats and badgers, which will be carried out in accordance with protected species licence conditions, where they apply.
