Leiston-cum-Sizewell
During the planning process, Sizewell C committed to the early creation of compensatory wetland habitat in the vicinity of Lower Abbey Farm, which would be used by marsh harriers and a number of other species. The works on this habitat creation are scheduled to take place between September 2022 and February 2023.
As part of this project, we are resurfacing the southern entrance to Bridleway 19 in Leiston. This work will take place overnight from 8pm – 6am to ensure that visitors can continue to enjoy the surroundings and parking facilities at Kenton Hills during the day.
The resurfacing work will ensure that our contractors can easily access the works site from the south, and will improve the surface for all future visitors, walkers and horse riders. It will be delivered by a team from our contractor, VolkerFitzpatrick. Some traffic management will be required, but there will be no full road closures or diversions – only single lane closures and traffic lights.
