Leiston-cum-Sizewell
Sizewell C will be carrying out further unexploded ordnance (UXO) surveys of the seabed will commence on 31 March 2025 – 30 April 2o25.
These works will be conducted via vessel known as a Wave Walker. (image below)
These works are vital to the construction the jetty and the inlet/outlet pipes needed for the power station.
Beach users are requested not to swim or use vessels/paddleboards/kayaks close to the barge. A a 250m exclusion zone will be in place.
