Sizewell Link Road

The Sizewell C ecology team are currently actioning vegetation clearance works across the sites of the associated developments. Sizewell C has worked with statutory bodies and specialists to assist with planning works to mitigate environmental impact on wildlife and the community. These works are essential to facilitate the new infrastructure servicing the local community and Sizewell C.

Sizewell C have planned Ecology Clearance works with the aim of mitigating environmental impact through respecting the clearance seasons in line with Development Consent Order.

This work allows pre-commencement works such as archaeology to progress and ensures that disruption to neighbouring communities is kept to a minimum.  These works are due to be completed by the end of November 2024.

The Two Village By-pass and Sizewell Link Road are key environmental mitigations set out in the Development Consent Order for Sizewell C: They enable Sizewell C to remove the construction traffic from the surrounding villages, and provide enhanced habitat areas increasing biodiversity net gain.
