The works to install the sheet pile wall for the temporary sea defence have now been completed. From September, work is expected to begin to install rock armour around the southern end of the sea defence.
To allow the rock armour to be installed safely, a slight temporary realignment of the coastal footpath will be required.
Work to construct this temporary realignment is due to start during the week commencing 27 July and is expected to be completed by the end of August.
The existing coastal footpath will remain open while these works are carried out.
Once the rock armour has been installed, the footpath will be returned to its current position.
The rock armour installation is expected to be completed early next year.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while these important sea defence works continue.
