Green Rail Route

Buckleswood Road will be temporarily closed from 17 November 2025 – 31 January 2026.

The road will be closed for a distance of approximately 370m, from approximately 430m south of the junction with Abbey Lane – to approximately 200m west of the road’s transition to Westward Ho.

This closure is essential to facilitate works associated with the construction of the Buckleswood Road level crossing for the Green Rail Route to Sizewell C, including drainage works and installation of the temporary railway crossing point.

There will be a diversion in place and access to your property will be maintained during the temporary closure. The details of the temporary road closure are as follows:

Sizewell C have planned these works to avoid disruption as much as possible, but we are aware that this work may cause inconvenience for you. We are sorry that this may affect your journey times and will be working hard to ensure the work happens as swiftly and efficiently as possible.
