As part of preparatory works for the Beach Landing Facility, survey activity will take place on the foreshore and at sea from Monday 27 July 2026. Preparatory works for the surveys are expected to begin from Monday 20 July 2026. These surveys are expected to be completed by October 2026.
These works will help inform the next stage of planning and construction for the Beach Landing Facility. During this period, you may see divers, excavator, boats and specialist investigation equipment operating on and around the beach and foreshore.
Access to the beach will remain open while the survey and preparatory works are carried out. There may be occasions where short pauses or localised management of access are needed for safety reasons.
