As part of the ongoing development of the Sizewell C project, construction will commence on the North Plaza, located to the east of Abbey Road.
The North Plaza will provide key transport and access infrastructure to support the construction and operation of the project. The development will comprise a network of roads and hard-surfaced areas designed to facilitate safe and efficient access to site facilities.
What will be included?
The North Plaza will include:
- An external bus interchange providing connections to regional transport services.
- An internal bus interchange to support the movement of buses serving the site.
- A dedicated bus parking area.
- A car park for authorised users.
- Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) parking facilities.
- Security and access control measures to ensure safe and managed access to the site.
