Leiston-cum-Sizewell, Theberton and Eastbridge

A series of upcoming road closures on the B1122 Abbey Road, Lover’s Lane and Eastbridge Road, Leiston.
These closures are required to support the construction of a new roundabout on Abbey Road, works associated with the Bridleway 19 diversion, and the creation of a new access point to the Ancillary Construction Area.
The updated planned closure dates and locations are set out below.

| 20:00 6 November – 05:00 9 November 2026 | B1122 Abbey Road between Potters Road & Leiston Old Abbey Care Home. |
| 20:00 13 November – 05:00 16 November 2026 | Lovers Lane between Abbey Road Junction and King Georges Avenue. |
| 20:00 20 November – 05:00 23 November 2026 | Lovers Lane between Abbey Road Junction and King Georges Avenue. |
| Nighttime closure 23 – 27 between 20:00 – 05:00 November 2026 | Lovers Lane between Abbey Road Junction and King Georges Avenue. |
| 20:00 27 November – 05:00 30 November 2026 | Lovers Lane between Abbey Road Junction and King Georges Avenue. |
Diversion routes
The following diversion routes will be in place:
- B1122 Abbey Road diversion: B1122, A12, A1094 and B1069.
- Lover’s Lane diversion: via King George’s Avenue.
