Local road improvements

Please be advised that there are a number of upcoming temporary closures of the A12, Darsham to enable road improvements, including a new pedestrian crossing.

Due to emergency resurfacing works taking precedence over planned closures in August, further night closures are required in October. The A12 will be closed between The Street, Darsham and Westleton Road, Yoxford for the following weeknights:

• 19 to 23 October (8pm-5am)
• 26 to 28 October (8pm-5am)

Following the weeknight closures we require a full weekend closure from 8pm 6 Nov to 5am 9 Nov of the A12 at this location for a utility crossing. We have liaised with Suffolk County Council to coordinate these dates.

There will be diversion signage in place and access to property will be maintained during the temporary closures.

SZC have planned these works to avoid disruption as much as possible, but we are aware that there may be some disruption and inconvenience for you. We are sorry that this may affect your journey times and will be working hard to ensure the work happens as swiftly and efficiently as possible.
