Two Village Bypass

Sizewell C will be carrying out a temporary night time closure of the A12 Main Road and A1094 Friday Street to undertake works to support the delivery of the Friday Street roundabout.

The works involve the installation of a lane guard and drainage crossings on the carriageway. The work will be split into phases with a closure of A12 and A1094 from 31 August to 3 September, followed by the closure of just the A1094 from 4 to 7 September. As a result of Sizewell C implementing traffic management at Friday Street, and to avoid traffic routing along Kettles Lane, we have also been requested to close Kettles Lane to the north of the residential properties until the works are completed.

There will be a diversion in place and access to property will be maintained during the temporary closure.  Following discussions with Suffolk County Council, the diversion route has been altered to help facilitate other works. The details of the full extent of the temporary road closure are as follows:

A12 Diversion: A1152, B1069, A1094, B1069, B1122 and vice versa

A1094 Diversion: B1069, B1122 and vice versa.

Sizewell C have planned these works to avoid disruption as much as possible, but we are aware that there may be some disruption and inconvenience for you.
