Leiston-cum-Sizewell
As part of the construction phase of Sizewell C nuclear power station, footpath Leiston-cum-Sizewell 5 Public Right of Way (PRoW) will be temporarily closed and a sign-posted diversion route in place. This is due to works to upgrade the railway infrastructure.
Sizewell C apologises for the inconvenience and duration related to these works.
Below is a description of the works at Summerhill LX to be carried out in the next two weeks:
• Removal and Reinstatement of Level Crossing Fence and Gates Posts
• Excavation and Installation of 2 x Turning Chambers
• Excavation and Installation of Under Road Crossing) Ducting under Summerhill Footpath
• Removal and Reinstatement of Footpath Tarmacking
• Installation of Cable Troughing and Hardstanding
