The central section of Lover’s Lane between the Sizewell C access and Sandy Lane (not including Sandy Lane) will need to be closed at night time until 24 February 2026 for the construction of a new drain bridge.

The B1122 Abbey Road (between Rowley Mews and the Leiston Abbey Access), and the western end of Lover’s Lane, Leiston, will also be closed at the following times to undertake road construction.

There are also road closures on the B1122 Middleton Road near Yoxford in January, which are co-ordinated with these works.

There will be a diversion in place and access to property will be maintained during the temporary closure. The diversion routes are as follows:

• Abbey Road Diversion: B1122, A12, A1094, and B1069
• Lover’s Lane Diversion: King George’s Avenue and B1122
