Leiston-cum-Sizewell, Theberton and Eastbridge
The B1122 Leiston (Abbey Road), Lover’s Lane, and Eastbridge Road will be closed for the following weekends to facilitate utility works and the construction of a new roundabout.
Weekend closures (8pm Friday–5am Monday):
- 10–13 April
- 17–20 April
- 24–27 April
These closures will affect Abbey Road between Eastbridge Road and Rowley Mews, as well as the western ends of Eastbridge Road and Lover’s Lane. Apart from the closure between 17-20 which will be between Rowley Mews and Leiston Abbey entrance. Details of each closure are shown in the table below and referenced on Maps 1 and 2.
Diversion routes
- Abbey Road: B1122, A12, A1094 and B1069
- Lover’s Lane: King George’s Avenue and B1122 Abbey Road
- Eastbridge Road: Church Lane and Onners Lane (advisory one-way system in place to support traffic flow between Eastbridge and Theberton)
Access to properties will be maintained throughout the works.
